New to the team, responsible for maintaining customer flow
As demands for delivery precision, flexibility, and shorter lead times increase, logistics is becoming an increasingly important competitive factor in the industry. To meet customer needs, Proton Finishing is working long-term to develop its logistics flows within Team Impact. A recent addition to the team is Ulrika Malmborg, who has a clear focus on flows, delivery reliability, and customized solutions.
“Logistics is about the entire flow, from what we take in to what we deliver to the customer. That’s where quality and delivery reliability are determined,” says Ulrika Malmborg.
Focus on customer value – from promise to delivery
Ulrika comes most recently from Trioworld, where she worked as a logistics manager. When she decided to move on, it was the development perspective that attracted her.
“I wanted to work more with improvement and development in logistics, but also in the borderland between logistics and purchasing. At Proton, there is the opportunity to really influence flows – and thus also the customer’s everyday life.
In practice, the role involves analyzing and developing logistics flows based on customer requirements. This can involve identifying bottlenecks, shortening lead times, adapting warehousing, or finding the right transport solution for specific needs.
“For the customer, it is crucial that we deliver what we promise – on time and with the right quality. Logistics should not be a question mark, but a certainty.
Team Impact – joint development for the whole company
Ulrika is part of Team Impact, a central team that works exclusively on development projects for Proton Finishing’s various units. The team’s strength lies in its breadth – both in terms of expertise and perspective.
“It’s incredibly valuable to be able to work with all the units and learn about their different ways of working and experiences. We can learn a lot from each other and find the best solutions, which can then be scaled across the organization.
The fact that the team is centrally located is also an advantage, says Ulrika.
“We get a helicopter perspective. This allows us to see connections in the flows and suggest improvements that benefit both the business and the customer.”
A new addition that strengthens delivery capacity
With Ulrika Malmborg joining Team Impact, Proton Finishing continues to strengthen its work with stable, flexible, and customized logistics flows—an area that is becoming increasingly important as demands from industrial customers grow.
“I’ve had a really good feeling about this from day one. It’s a really great bunch of people and a strong team. I’m really looking forward to contributing to future development,” says Ulrika.
